The Fire Investigation Unit determined the fire started when contractors working on the home were using a torch. The fire started in the wall and made its way to the attic. Fire companies arrived on scene quickly and had the fire under control in about 15 minutes.
Auburn Fire Rescue Chief Stephen M. Coleman Jr. said the fire went to 2 alarms and there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The home owners were not displaced and will remain in their home.
